Intro

Hi everyone!

My name is Vladimir, I'm from Ryazan. I support Juve since 1998 and witnessed a lot of peaks and valleys the club went through. Kept loyal and pretty sure it's for the rest of my life.

This blog isn't about smart, witty analysis, complicated statistics or unique-exclusive-insider information, photos or videos. Nothing of the kind. The blog is, first and foremost, about English language. For the sake of practicing it. I suffer lack of using the language in my everyday life and by leading the blog I hope to use English more, hope to obtain interlocutors to chat with.

As for the blog's potential content, those will be news or events that I'll find worth discussing. Don't know how often I'll post stuff here - it depends only on my wish and enthusiasm.

Hope you'll get curious and ask me something in the comments. Or simply leave your opinion on this undertaking of mine. In Englsih, of course.

Ivan, thanks for the comment and the subscription! I’m not expecting wide critical acclaim or broad audience for the posts. I’m quite aware that it’s an Engish blog at a Russian site (alien like "an Englishman in New York"). It’s more likely that pigs start flying than one of my posts gets on the Sports’ main page.

As for Italian language, I’ve just started to learn it and may only say and understand simplest phrases like "Pirlo non ha Instagram"))

Kinda good idea, but I don’t really think it’ll get much appeciation here. Not many users of sports.ru can into English quite well) to communicate, discuss and so on and so forth.

But good luck anyway! I’ll subscribe because I like weird things like this)

P.S. I’d better read it in italian, BTW... a blog in italian about an italian squad. Why not)

A good question! But not difficult for me. Aside from language practice there’s one more perk in blogging. Creating a post, making up sentences, remembering right words, sharing ideas makes your brain work. It’s like a workout that you do for your muscles when performing chin ups, pull ups and so on. But this work out (blogging) is for your grey matter. They say if one doesn’t train his brain from time to time, it gets old and fails earlier.

Why make a blog then? Find a chat mate in some social network (there are some just to practice any type of foreign language). What do you need a blog for if not for people to look at?

Thanks for the advice, but broad audience isn’t my goal.

Grazie per una piccola lezione di italiano)

Of course, he should call some attention to NYC, and take pleasure in reading fan comments like "we miss you in Juve, come back")
