Johan Fransson leaves SKA St. Petersburg

According to the information that became known to Sports.ru, Swedish defender Johan Fransson will leave SKA St. Petersburg.

The management of the KHL club was interested in keeping Fransson, but the Swede decided to leave for family reasons.

During the past season Fransson has played 38 regular matches for SKA, having scored 17 (6+11) points, as well as 11 matches in the Gagarin Cup with 2 (0+2) points.

Fransson moved to SKA last October, having signed a one-season contract with the St. Petersburg club. Before that he had been playing for Lulea and had been attempting to make it into the squad of the NHL club Los Angeles Kings who own the rights to the Swedish defender.
