CSKA struggle to reach agreement with new sponsors Rosneft, Filatov signing under threat
CSKA Moscow president Vyacheslav Fetisov revealed he struggles to find common ground with the club’s new main sponsor Rosneft, which is puts the signing of the Ottawa Senators forward Nikita Filatov under threat.
«We still fail to build up a dialog. Today it’s not so important to determine who will construct the new arena, it’s not my business in general. We play regular season games and the team hasn’t won a game since the new owners have been announced.
«It’s a common practice that when a business takes control of a professional team, you have to define who will be the manager. Investments should be targeted, you need to have professionals in charge of them. At the signing of the contract we agreed with the head of Rosneft to hold a meeting soon, but the conversation still hasn’t taken place.
«Filatov wants to return to CSKA, but some poorly coordinated actions jeopardize his future career. Fans also have the right to know what the team will look like and what is happening at the club,» Fetisov said as quoted by RIA Novosti.
