Ilya Bryzgalov opens own goaltenders school in Russia
Philadelphia Flyers goalkeeper Ilya Bryzgalov has taken part in the inauguration of his school of goaltenders in his native city of Togliatti, Russia.
Bryzgalov was born in Togliatti, achieved his hockey education in the school of the local hockey club Lada and began his career with them.
The school will enroll twelve players of Lada’s youth.
«I am glad that my dream finally came true! I believe that we should pass our experience and knowledge to children who go in for sports, including hockey. That would help them grow up, develop themselves, and proudly represent our country anywhere – playing for a club abroad or in the national team.
«Why is it only twelve people? Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to pay personal attention to all children, wouldn’t be able to explain them the technique and game tactics thoroughly. I don’t want that! Let it be tweve people, but I will put my heart in it, all my knowledge and all my resources!
«It’s a good thing, we will now consider how to develop this project,» stated Bryzgalov according to TLTnews.ru.
