Spartak Moscow fined €13,000 for fans’ clashes in Samara
Vladimir Katkov, head of Russian FA’s Disciplinary Committee, has told Sports.ru reporter Alexey Fomin what punishment has been applied to the clubs for the fans’ disorders during the Russian Premier League Matchday 9 game Krylia Sovetov Samara – Spartak Moscow (0:1).
Spartak Moscow were fined 530,000 roubles (€13,250) for the behaviour of their fans in the stands of Metallurg Stadium in Samara. This includes 300,000 roubles for the disorders in the stands, 200,000 roubles for the use and throwing of fireworks, and 30,000 roubles for the use of obscene language.
According to Vladimir Katkov, the club was also warned that in case of a repeated incident the sanctions will be more austere. Having taken into consideration that such an incident had occurred fot the first time and the actions of police and security services had been accurate and correct, the Disciplinary Committee have decided to confine themselves to pecuniary punishment without banning the club’s home ground for several matches.
Krylia Sovetov were fined 200,000 roubles (€5,000) for the failure to ensure order and safety during the match and 20,000 roubles (€500) for the throwing of foreign objects (glass bottles) on the pitch.
