Roberto Carlos: Though I scored, overall result is disappointing
Anzhi captain Roberto Carlos said he is disappointed by the result of the match, in which he scored his first Russian goal, and complained over the lack of fair play from the opponents.
In Matchday 6 game against Dynamo Moscow of the Russian Premier League the Brazilian scored in 58th minute converting a penalty awarded for handball by Igor Semshov. The match eventually ended with a 2:2 draw with Dynamo’s Zvjezdan Misimovic scoring from another penalty in 88th minute.
«I can’t say it is a good result for us. We were one goal ahead five minutes from time but conceded a goal,» said Roberto Carlos in an interview with Sovetsky Sport.
«What can you say about the penalty the referee gave in the last minutes?
«Dynamo failed to show fair play before this episode. Our player was lying injured on the field, but the opponents didn’t stop playing.»
«But the penalty you converted into Dynamo goal was also quite controversial.»
«I don’t think so. There was a clear hand ball.»
«How do you feel now?»
«I am OK. As I’ve already said, there’s a disappointment from the result. But I want to thank our torcida. I saw a Brazilian flag in the stands – that was very pleasant.»
