Nevio Scala: No Italian coach would take charge of Spartak now
Former Spartak Moscow head coach Nevio Scala said he would gladly return to the Russian club, although he believes no other Italian coach would be interested in a job at Spartak.
«I believe the crisis in Spartak has been caused by poor planning and lack of competent managers. Speaking about possible candidates for this position, I think there are no coaches today in Italy eager to take charge of Spartak in such situation. The rumors about Lippi are unfounded – he would only work with national teams», said Scala as quoted by Sovetsky Sport.
«As far as I am concerned, I’d gladly return to Spartak, but nobody has approached me until now. I felt myself very comfortable in Moscow, but I got there at a wrong time. The club had very hard times then, it was a complete mess. Now, with Leonid Fedun the things have sorted out».
