Denis Cheryshev: Ronaldo tried to teach me how to take free-kicks

Real Madrid junior striker Denis Cheryshev spoke about his experience of training with the main squad and taking free-kick lessons from Cristiano Ronaldo.

«There is no kind of mistreatment from the old guns towards the academy players at Real. From what I hear, these things happen at other clubs, but not here. The more experienced players are always happy to advise us.»

«Especially him! Just like Cristiano, I am left-footed and tend to play on the left, so he sort of took me under his wing. He even tried to teach me to take free-kicks like him, so that the ball dips as it approaches the goal. He showed me how to hold my foot and where to hit the ball. Mind you, the ball still went into the stands, so I know which aspect of my game to improve.»
