Sergey Fursenko: There will be play-offs in the 2012/13 RPL season
Russian FA president Sergey Fursenko spoke about the Russian Premier League’s plans to introduce a play-off system in the next season.
«I like the high competitiveness we are seeing this season and I can tell you that we intend to propose a project that will attract an even bigger interest from the audience. That is planned for the next season.»
«Are you implying there will be a play-off system towards the end of the season?»
«Correct. I won’t give up any details yet, but it is an option we are exploring and it could be introduced by season 2012/13,» Fursenko told Sovestky sport.
