Fulham’s Pogrebnyak admits to finding the English Premier League «exhausting»
Fulham Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak commented on his winnig strike against QPR and his adjustment to British lifestyle in an interview to Sport-Express.
«I haven’t been this exhausted for a long time. The match was very intense, hardly any pauses. Tough challenges and big powerful defenders are difficult to adjust to initially. Aside from that, I was very pleased with the support – I have never seen so many away fans at a stadium.»
«Two games – two goals, life is good?»
«I am in a great mood, of course. I never expected to get off to such a good start. Hopefully my form will continue.»
«Did the manager Martin Jol say anything to you after the match?»
«He congratulated the whole team and shook our hands. All of my teammates also praised me for such a good finish and wished me luck in the international fixture.»
«How is your English? Getting better?»
«There is some progress, but German words still keep popping into my head.»
