Keisuke Honda: It’s good to be linked with clubs like Man City and PSG

CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda conceded the negotiations with Lazio were unproductive, but maintained he may move on to another club as his contract nears its expiration date.

«My mindset has stabilised now. After the talks with Lazio ended, I realised what needs to be done. Now I want to focus on improving my game at CSKA.

«As my contract with the Moscow club approaches its expiration date, more clubs will start to express interest. It is great to hear reports linking me to such clubs as Manchester City or PSG.

«I was really up for a move to Italy, but all I can say now is that it didn’t work out. Perhaps, it will happen in the future. Either way, my targets haven’t changed, and they will remain the same,» the Japan international told Nikkan Sports.

Earlier Igli Tare, the director of sport at Lazio, mentioned that during the negotiations the Italian club increased the offer for the Red Army anchorman several times.
