Vagner Love apologizes for red-card foul on Nalchik’s Miodrag Djudovic
CSKA Moscow striker Vagner Love said he regretted the foul he committed on the Montenegrin defender Miodrag Djudovic during the recent Russian Premier League game against Spartak Nalchik (4:0). The Brazilian was sent off for that in the second half.
«I am very sorry it happened. When I has reaching for the ball, I had no intention to injure him. I wanted to play the ball as usual and just went for in until the end. Unfortunately, it happened that I hit the opponent’s leg.
«I want to say things like that never happened to me before. I’ve never been a dirty player, it’s the first time in my career that I was sent off for foul play.»
«I apologized to Djudovic immediately after the match. I wish him a speedy recovery and a quick return to fitness,» Brazilian said as quoted by Bobsoccer.ru.
