Inter want Samuel Eto’o back on loan for winter, Anzhi oppose vigorously
Inter Milan are reportedly planning to loan Samuel Eto’o back from Anzhi Makhachkala for January and February 2012. The transfer is possible due to the fact that the Serie A transfer window opens on January 2, while the the spring part of the Russian Premier League tournament is scheduled to begin on March 3.
Inter general director Massimo Moratti confirmed such possibility. «The return of Eto’o? Everything is possible», said he according to Sport Mediaset.
Eto’o’s agent Claudio Vigorelli is also supportive of the idea. «Why can’t he return to Inter for a period from December to February, when the Russian league has a break?», Vigorelli said according to La Stampa.
Meanwhile, Anzhi general director German Chistyakov denied the reports out of hand.
«I can’t imagine such a scenario even in a nightmare. During this period the player as a real professional will be getting ready for the upcoming tough season with Anzhi. No Inter, no loan!
«Still, this information has a very positive thing about it – imagine how Inter appreciates and needs Sam, if they realized so quickly that they’re not good enough without him! Moreover, I think that in light of the club’s streak of poor performances, Moratti tries to flirt a little with tiffosi in order to appease the growing discontent.
«So, in February, Sam together with the rest of our players will be sweating on the football pitches in Turkey or Spain, but not in Italy,» Chistyakov wrote on the guestbook of Anzhi’s official site.
