Mateja Kezman joins BATE Borisov
Serbian striker Mateja Kezman will continue his career at BATE Borisov, the Belarusian club’s official website reported. The forward signed a contract until the end of the year with an extension option.
«The representatives of the Belarusian champions first approached my agent Alexander Gruber three days ago. But it wasn’t until that these contacts acquired an official nature. I had a lot of other proposals and I had to to hurry up with the choice, because the transfer window would soon close. Having weighed it up for a while, I chose to acceptance the offer proposal from Borisov. The main reason was that BATE will play in the Champions League group stage. I’d like to once again take part in the main club tournament in Europe», said Kezman as quoted by the official website of his new club.
Kezman last played for the Hong Kong club South China. This summer he tried to join his native club Partizan Belgrade, but failed to impress the club’s coaching staff during trials.
