Yury Krasnozhan appointed head coach of Russia’s second national team

Former head coach of Spartak Nalchik and Lokomotiv Moscow Yury Krasnozhan has taken charge of the Russian national team. It was announced today by thr Russian FA president Sergey Fursenko, according to Sovetsky Sport.

It should be noted, that the decision to create the second national team was made at the latest session of the Russian FA’s Executive Committee.

Speaking about his new position Krasnozhan stated that is not ready to unveil the details of his future work yet.

«The Russian Football Union have made my an offer to take charge of the second national team and it seemed interesting to me. As of now I’m not ready to speak about any details. I believe, our plans and program should be clear by the beginning of the next week.

«As you may know, I have never worked with national teams before. That’s why this new experience will be very exciting. Let’s stop at that for now,» the 48-year-old coach stated to RIA Novosti.

Last month Krasnozhan was sacked from Lokomotiv Moscow despite a decent start in the league after allegation of his match fixing resurfaced.
