Danny was allowed to miss Dynamo game, attended his sons’ tournament in Algarve

Portuguese halfback of Zenit St. Petersburg Miguel Danny didn’t violate his club’s requirements missing last week’s RPL matchday 12 game against Dynamo (1:1).

According to SAPO, Danny was allowed to return to Russia later than the rest of his teammates as he accompanied the Under-8 team of his native club Maritimo on their trip to Algarve from June 10 to June 12. Danny’s two sons Fransisco and Bernardo play for Maritimo juniors and both took part in the tournament. Danny also provided financial support for Maritimo’s participation in the competition.

The Madeira-based team eventually finished second, losing to Olhanense on penalties, according to Maritimo official site. Danny’s son Bernardo became the best goalscorer and most valuable player of the tournament.

Right after that, on Sunday Danny left for St. Petersburg.
