CSKA deny interest in Dinamo Zagreb’s Milan Badelj
CSKA Moscow general director Roman Babaev has rejected the information that his club was looking to bring in Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Milan Badelj.
«We have never been interested in this player,» Babaev stated to Bobsoccer.ru.
This statement is contrary to the one made recently by Badelj’s agent Dejan Joksimovic, who said in an interview with Sport-Express that CSKA was the main Russian candidate for the Croatian’s transfer. «The first and the main option of Milan’s employment in Russia is CSKA. Zenit was also interested in him some time ago, while there was nobody from Spartak Moscow to contact me about him,» said Joksimovic.
However, in the same interview the agent revealed that bringing Badelj to Russia would not be easy, as some leading European clubs, including an Italian top-3 side, Tottenham, and Wolfsburg, had already been courting Badelj.
