Cristian Ansaldi: What media say about my move to Italy or Portugal is not without reason

Rubin Kazan defender Cristian Ansaldi admitted he is considering the possibility of continuing his career in another club.

«There are lots of rumors about you in European media. According to them, Benfica and Lazio are looking forward to get you. Is that true or all these talks are just about newspapers gossip?»

«Well, what media say about me is not without a reason.»

«Do you mean Italy or Portugal?»

«I’m interested in some of the European championships. This could be a new challenge and a new experience, both in football and in life. But my desire does not mean that I’m leaving Kazan. I’m not going anywhere yet. Firstly, I’m very comfortable here, as I’ve said many times. Secondly, the club’s interests should be taken in account.

«You’ve spent a very good season, probably, your best one in our country. Where shall you find the motivation for a fourth year in Russia?»

«I always try to play on my best level. This year I really manage to do it. But that shouldn’t mean that Ansaldi is playing brightly just to earn a chance for a move to another championship», Ansaldi stated according to Sport-Express.
