Lokomotiv Kuban found its railway

First quarter showed that Loko is interested to win the game. They played hard on both half courts.

Laboral started using Bourousis in the 2nd quarter and it benefitted in spacing spot up shooters to attack the basket. Kuban players focused on coverage and lost some of their match ups. But Spanish team (with 1 Spanish player) was not able to keep this trend as Loko organized double and triple team defense against Greece Center. They stuck all over as soon as he got the ball in his hands. They grabbed away everything from him, stealing from the back side, intercepting, touching and knocking down the ball. Bourousis was returned to the bench several times and couldn’t help. The game was too fast for him that day. He had probably lost the mood and concentration after semi-final defeat.

Loko also managed to run in transition with points and fouls to score. They shared the ball unselfishly in a speedy way until the shot position was clear – 20 assist. All their snipers succeeded, especially Broekhoff who nailed 4/7 three pointers and 3/3 field goals. Adding 6 rebounds and 21 points overall he played spent on court 38.23 minutes. He performed miraculously being everywhere, scoring, rebounding in offense, shooting with high percentage and grabbing the ball on the floor.

Loko scored 13 out of 16 3 pointer which is 81%, comparing to 10/26 ( 38%) with Laboral.

Vitoria guys seemed disorganized all the game and couldn’t rebuild or redirect their game.

Let’s follow the prices for Loko players now and see them run away. I wonder where wild cards will go for the next season.
