Suzuki не спешит обновляться с Алексом Ринсом и Джоан Мир: «Вы не решите раньше лета»

INThe Suzuki Ecstar team has MotoGP riders Alex Rins and Joan Mir, whose contracts expire at the end of this year. However, the director of Shinichi Sahara is in no hurry to sign the renovations, which, if they take place, should take place within two years (2023 and 2024).

Quoted from paddock-gp.com, the official said he is focused on having the GSX-RR available to pilots rather than contractual matters: “Me and the pilots exchange information regularly. Previously, David Brivio negotiated contracts directly with the drivers. In my case, I focus mainly on providing riders with a competitive bike. Our main goal is to fight for the championship again.”

In this context, Sahara does not see resumption talks as a priority at this stage: “I have not set a deadline. We regularly communicate with each other, but now is not the time to make a decision. I also believe that a decision will not be made until this summer."

According to the Suzuki manager, the new bonds should be of the same duration as the previous ones: “Nothing has been fixed yet. However, I believe that we will keep the link that we have had so far in the terms of the contract. That is, obligations for a period of two years. But we could consider it during negotiations. Basically, we want to have two-year contracts.”
