Petrov docked five places on starting grid for Indian GP
Stewards decided to punish Russian driver of Lotus-Renault Vitaly Petrov for the crash he caused at the Korean GP with the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher. Petrov received a formal warning and will be docked five places on the grid of the Indian Grand Prix.
«I apologise to Michael, it was my fault and not his. I tried to focus on Alonso to gain and defend one position, then I tried to out-brake and was on the dirty side – even Fernando was on the outside and also missed the corner,» Petrov said as quoted by GP Update.
