Alexander Radulov: Will I remain in the KHL? No comments

Salavat Yulaev star forward Alexander Radulov commented on his side’s exit from the Gagarin Cup after losing the 1/8 final series to Ak Bars, but refused to be drawn into speculation about his future in the KHL.

«First of all I want to thank all our fans for this season. Many didn’t believe in us after the fourth game of the series, but the most ardent fans kept supporting us. We battled hard, but the opponents were the better side. We didn’t use the chances we created and that’s why we lost. It is hard to talk about this…» said the former Nashville player, still under contract with the Predators.

«You picked up a lot of points in the first game, but then Krikunov set Zakharchuk on you, and you seemed to wane a bit. Did you struggle?»

«All our leaders were marked very tightly, not just me. They were well-prepared physically and pounced on our mistakes. They deserved to win, good luck to them. We couldn’t quite get into our rhythm, it’s unacceptable to concede goals like we did in the third and fourth match. It is our fault that we lost. I would prefer a team from the East to win the Cup.»
