Igor Semshov: This is the most badly organized championship in the history of Russian football

Dynamo Moscow midfielder Igor Semshov slammed the RPL authorities and tournament organizers for the poor conditions in which games have been played in this season.

«From an organizational perspective, there hasn’t been as bad a tournament as this year’s. The stadiums are just not ready to hold the RPL games this spring. You can’t play the Top-8 matches on these surfaces, it pure nonsense. We were watching Seria A games recently – players seem to enjoy just walking on the beautiful grass on Italian stadiums. But we have to fight the pitch and the ball, not the opponents,» said the Russian veteran midfielder.

«What’s the solution? Go back to the old system, «spring-autumn». We tried another way and it didn’t work here,» Semshov proposed.
