Sergey Silkin: I told Kuranyi to warm up, but he misunderstood me
Dynamo Moscow head coach Sergey Silkin has accused Kevin Kuranyi of lowering his standards of play after German striker once again failed to impress in a RPL match.
After Dynamo’s 1-1 draw with CSKA the Blue-Whites manager Silkin spoke to the Sports.ru correspondent Denis Romantsov:
«It was a difficult game, we made it harder for ourselves by conceding early on. The opponents were well organised and tried to draw us in to their half,» said the coach.
«As for Kuranyi, there was a misunderstanding. I told him to get ready to play after the break, but he seemed to misunderstand me, thinking I just wanted him to warm up. If you recall last season, he didn’t score for the first 12 matches, so I think his goal-scoring instincts will reawaken sooner or later. But there is an issue of demanding less of himself,» Silkin added.
