Danny: I rejected an offer to be a pundit on TV for the Benfica game

Zenit St. Petersburg playmaker Danny Miguel, currently undergoing rehabilitation for a knee injury, in an interview to Russian website Sportsdaily.ru spoke about his team’s chances ahead of the Champions League clash with Benfica.

«I am living in Lisbon at the moment, I have a flat here. I underwent surgery on my knee ligaments here and have to stay here during my rehabilitation. But I plan to return to Saint-Petersburg in a month,» the Portuguese midfielder stated.

«Where will you be watching the game?»

«At the stadium. I also watched Benfica-Porto here recently, and all my relatives are coming to the stadium to see Zenit. The local TV station actually wanted me to pundit for the, but no, my friends, this moment is too emotional for me to keep my cool. I’d rather cheer for my team!» Danny said.
