Zhirkov’s former agent attempts to claim €2.8 million from the player

Viktor Khalapurdin, the former agent of Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Yury Zhirkov, is suing his ex-client for €2.8 million.

According to a report in Moskovsky Komsomolets, the agent claims Zhirkov failed to pay him the fee for his transfer from CSKA Moscow to Chelsea in 2009.

Khalapurdin refused to discuss the matter with Sports.ru, stating merely «I have had enough of these publications.»

However, the Moscow court confirmed a complaint for 108 million roubles has been filed against the former Chelsea winger.

Last year a PFA committee ruled that the midfielder is no longer required to compensate his former agent, who has been representing him for over 10 years.
