Nukri Revishvili moves to Krasnodar from Anzhi
Anzhi goalkeeper Nukri Revishvili signed a contract with another Russian Premier League club FC Krasnodar. The Georgian goalie will be playing for his new club starting with the second round of the Russian chamoionship.
Revishvili joined Anzhi in 2010, and this season established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper. Before that he had been a reserve keeper behind Sergey Ryzhikov at Rubin Kazan since 2006.
This autumn Anzhi signed goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov from Dynamo Moscow, but immediately loaned him to CSKA, who desperately needed a first-class goalie on a short-term basis after Igor Akinfeev had become sidelined for six months. Now Gabulov returns to Anzhi, and Revishvili opted for a guaranteed first team place at Krasnodar instead of a fierce competition with a Russian national team player.
Anzhi general director German Chistyakov confirmed the reports about Revishvili’s move. «We still wanted to have Nukri in our team and offered him a nearly double salary. However, we refused to pay yet another commission to his agent, especially as Revishvili will be counted as a foreign player next season [according to the new Russian football regulations on limiting the number of foreigners on the pitch to five – Sports.ru],» Chistyakov said as quoted by Sport-Express.
