Sergey Perednya takes charge of Tom Tomsk
Today the former Volga Nizhny Novgorod senior coach Sergey Perednya officially took charge of Tom Tomsk.
Perednya’s contract with the Tomsk club was signed in St. Petersburg, where Tom are preparing to the Saturday’s Russian Premier League match against Zenit. Perednya was appointed the team’s senior coach but will be an acting head coach at least until the end of this year.
In 2012 Perednya will continue his studies at the Higher School for Football Coaches in order to get the PRO Licence reuired for a Premier League club’s head coach. Vasily Baskakov and Viktor Sebelev will be his assistants, while Aleksander Familtsev, a Tom ex-player who has been working in the coaching staff of the first team, will take charge of the youth team.
According to Tom’s official website Perednya will start working immediately and will prepare the team to the match against Zenit. He was introduced to Tom players today at 19 p.m.Moscow Time. The new coach will be officially included into Tom’s team next week, so at the Petrovsky Stadium the team will be headed by Vasily Baskakov from the bench.
During his career as a player Perednya played for Tom from 2000 to 2004.
