Luciano Spalletti admits Zenit’s interest to Domenico Criscito

Zenit St. Petersburg head coach Luciano Spalletti has confirmed he is interested in signing Genoa defender Domenico Criscito.

«I can tell you that Zenit is looking for a strengthening of its squad, as we have already said before. Criscito may be one of our targets,» stated the Italian to RIA Novosti.

It has been reported earlier that Criscito’s agent Andrea D’Amico visited Russia one of these days and held negotiations with Zenit about his client’s transfer to the St. Petersburg club, according to Sport-Express.

Napoli are believed to be another club willing to sign the 24-year-old player and seem to have already reached agreement with Genoa. However, Criscito still didn’t consent to this transfer as he wishes to consider the Russian offer first.
