Michael Lumb: I’m going back to Zenit to fight for place in line-up

Defender Michael Lumb, who is playing for Aalborg BK on loan, is going to return to Zenit St. Petersburg, with whom he has a valid agreemet.

«My contract with Zenit will be effective for a year and a half. I’m going back to St. Petersburg to fight for a place in the line-up.»

«I will fight eagerly to get my chance and be fielded, although I understand that doing so will be very difficult, because the competition is really hard in Zenit,» stated the player as quoted by Sport-Express.

However, Zenit sports director Igor Korneev earlier said that the St. Petersburg club is not planning to return Lumb from Aalborg until the end of the year.
