Ivan Tcherezov: It’s a shame that my English is so poor
Russian biathlete Ivan Tcherezov admitted he would like to learn English. The 30-year-old sportsman said he regrets being unable to communicate to his foreign colleagues, as well as the lack of attention to this issue from the Russian coaches.
«Foreigners easily contact you, but you stand unable to utter a single word. It’s a shame. For me it would be very interesting to learn English, and I’m eager to do it. Though I can’t do it by myself. We used to have a teacher travelling with the team, so you could appoint a lesson and pay at least 15-30 minutes to the language. Even if you managed to exchange a few words, it was a good thing already.
We had an American teacher and a Russian girl for three months, and then the program was closed beacuse the coaches though it interfered with our need for rest and recovery», said Tcherezov according to RIA Novosti.
