Lev Poprad general director: Our goal for the next season in the top eight of the Western Conference

General director of Slovak club Lev Poprad Roman Slavchev has shared his views on the forthcoming season, during which his team will make its debut in the Kontinental Hockey League.

«There are no Russian companies among our founders. We have reached agreements on the sponsorship with Slovak and Czech companies. We won’t be extremely rich, but we have an example of Dinamo Riga. As we all know, in Latvia there is no big budget, but the club plays consistently in the KHL. Generally speaking, we want to be like the Latvian team. I have been there many times, have spoken to them. It appeals to me what they are doing. And we want to earn money with hockey too.»

«The capacity of our arena is 4,750 spectators, and the tickets for the KHL matches games will cost from 10 to 12 Euro. Naturally, most of our budget will be formed by sponsors’ funds, but we will also try to earn by ourselves. In general we would be very happy, if average attendance made 70 percent.»
