Spartak Moscow sign Jozef Stumpel and keep Stefan Ruzicka

KHL’s Spartak Moscow have announced the signing of Dynamo Minsk forward Jozef Stumpel. The player has conacluded a one-year contract according to the official website of the Moscow club. Currently, Stumpel is in the camp of the Slovak national team taking part in the 2011 World Championship.

Spartak have also denied the information on the departure of another Slovak player, Stefan Ruzicka.

«There was a rumor circulating in the media that our forward Stefan Ruzicka is close to signing a contract with another club. This information is not true, as Stefan has one year left on the contract with Spartak,» reads the statement on the club’s official website.

Thus, with Stumpel and Ruzicka Spartak now has five Slovaks in the roster. Except the first two these are Branko Radivojevic, Ivan Baranka, and Juraj Mikus.
