Sergey Mozyakin leaves Atlant for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, says money was main reason
Sergey Mozyakin, the captain of Gagarin Cup finalists Atlant Mytishchi, has signed a contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk, according to official website of the Urals club.
Mozyakin has confirmed that he has had negotiations with several clubs, and has explained why he finally chose Magnitka while most people were already sure he will join SKA St. Petersburg. «Yes, I have also had contacts with St. Petersburg team, we just waited until the club will definitely decide on their new coach… I will tell you the truth: I chose the offer which suited me best in terms of money.»
Speaking about his former club, Mozyakin agreed that Atlant management fails to keep the most important players of the team which has made it into the Gagarin Cup finals. «Yes, I’ve heard that many guys are going to leave the team. That was one of the reasons fo me to start considering other places of employment», said Mozyakin according to Sovetsky Sport.
