Milos Riha leaves Atlant Mytishchi
The management of KHL’s Atlant and the club’s head coach Milos Riha have not come to an agreement about co-operation in the next season. The Czech coach will leave the club from the Moscow Region.
The official statement issued by Atlant’s press service reads as follows:
«On Sunday, April 17, immediately after the final game of the KHL Gagarin Cup, the head of Atlant’s supervisory board Konstantin Sedov and Milos Riha have discussed the terms of co-operation for the next season.
At the request of Mr. Riha, he has been given seven days to consider the offer made to him. At the same time, Mr. Riha has been conducting talks with other clubs concerning their co-operation. During the same time, Atlant has not held any talks with any of the potential candidates for the head coach position for ethical reasons. On April 24 the term of the offer expired and, unfortunately, the parties failed to reach an agreement.
The management of Atlant highly appreciates the work done by Mr. Riha and his assistants and would like to express our gratitude to them. On Monday, April 25, Atlant will start the search of a new head coach.
We would also like to wholeheartedly thank all of our supporters and ask them to show their respectful understanding of the situation.»
