Milos Riha: Let them fine me, I don’t care
SKA St. Petersburg head coach Milos Riha expressed his dismay at the referee’s decisions during his side’s defeat in the first series semi-final game against OHK Dynamo.
During the match, SKA defenseman Alexey Semyonov was give a match penalty, while later their goal was disallowed as Tony Mortensson allegedly played the puck with his foot.
«I won’t say much. Congratulations to Dynamo, but they can also thank someone else. It wasn’t a serious result.»
«What do you mean?»
«Will you pay my fine if I speak up?»
«But SKA was 3-0 up during the game!»
«How long did we have just three players on the ice? How many minutes of power play did they have? Why did Semyonov get thrown out? We scored a clean goal, but it was disallowed! The ref stood right next to me and he saw it was a clean goal. When the officals penalize players from only one side… I don’t know, he was even looking just at our bench throughout the game! Let them fine me, I don’t care,» the Czech coach fumed.
