Capitals’ Ovechkin has most OT winners since 2006, after another goal against Tampa Bay

Washington Capitals skipper Alexander Ovechkin led his team to 3-2 victory against Tampa Bay Lighting by scoring yet another overtime winner.

That brings the number of winning OT goals by Ovechkin to 12 this season – the highest for any players since season 2005/06.

«We have to put some pressure and give D big pressure because they are big and they are strong but slow,» Ovechkin said. «If we put the puck in deep and get a chip and play a physical game they are going to tire in the end and that is what you saw happen in the third,» the Russian winger.
