Datsyuk, Malkin and Ovechkin in THN’s Top-10 NHL players list

Russians Pavel Datsyuk, Yevgeny Malkin and Alexander Ovechkin all made the Top-10 of the 50 best NHL players list, compiled by American magazine The Hockey News.

The magazine polled five players from each NHL team for who they thought were the top five players in the league today. Players couldn’t vote for teammates. After tabulating the votes, the publication came up with a ranking of the top 50 players in the NHL.

Detroit Redwings’ Datsyuk was voted second best player in the league, Pittsburg’s Malkin came sixth and Washington Capitals skipper Ovechkin was in eighth place. Penguins star Sidney Crosby tops the rating.
