Capital’s Dale Hunter full of praise for opposition goalie Nabokov

Washington Capitals coach Dale Hunter praised the opposition goalkeeper Evgeni Nabokov after his team’s 3-2 overtime victory over the Islanders. The New York club was in the lead 2-0 after by the middle of the third period, but the Caps fought back with another Russian, Alexander Ovechkin, scoring the winning goal.

«It’s a big two points. Their goalie [Nabokov] was putting together a good game. To get that first one on them and give us some momentum- it was so late, but you got to give the goalie credit. He was having one of those games where you could see it was going to take a special play to get a goal on him,» Hunter said after the game.
