Ilya Bryzgalov apologizes to Winnipeg fans

Phadelphia Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov apologized to Winnipeg for the comments he made last season. While a player of the Phoenix Coyotes, the Russian said he didn’t want to go to Winnipeg if the franchise moved there.

«Let’s make this straight, once and for all. We [were] losing, I was disappointed, first of all. Second of all, I don’t want to move anywhere.»

«I’m pretty sure good people, beautiful people live in Winnipeg. I’m pretty sure there’s passionate fans.»

«I didn’t mean it. I don’t want to offend anybody. I sincerely apologize if I offended anybody, any fans in Canada or Winnipeg,» Bryzgalov said as quoted by CBC Sports.
