Russia junior team announce squad for Subway Super Series

The final list of players of the Russian junior national team for the Subway Super Series was drawn up. From November 7 to 17 they will play six games against the teams of Canada’s major junior leagues: the Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and the Western Hockey League.

Goaltenders: Sergey Kostenko (Metallurg Novokuznetsk), Pavel Suchkov (Dizel Penza).

Defencemen: Roman Rukavishnikov (Atlant Mytishchi), Viktor Antipin (Metallurg Magnitogorsk), Mikhail Naumenko (CSKA Moscow), Yefim Gurkin, Ildar Isangulov (both – Salavat Yulaev Ufa), Artyom Karavayev (Sibir Novosibirsk), Grigory Zheldakov (Spartak Moscow), Nikita Nesterov (Traktor Chelyabinsk).

Forwards: Nikita Gusev, Nikita Kucherov (both – CSKA Moscow), Emil Galimov, Vladislav Kartayev (both – Lokomotiv Yaroslavl), Kirill Rasskazov (Avangard Omsk), Daniil Apalkov, Bogdan Potekhin (both – Metallurg Magnitogorsk), Pavel Kulikov (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk), Maksim Shalunov (Traktor Chelyabinsk), Pavel Medvedev (Spartak Moscow), Bulat Shavaleyev (Ak Bars Kazan), Valery Knyazev (Sibir Novosibirsk).

In the match in Viktoriaville the Russian team will helped by Artyom Sergeyev and Anton Zlobin who play for QMJHL clubs; in Ottawa – by Alexander Khokhlachyov, Vladislav Namestnikov, Andrey Pedan, Ivan Telegin, and Nail Yakupov; in Quebec – by Mikhail Grigorenko; and in Regina – by goalie Andrey Makarov, the official website of Subway Super Series reported.
