Semyon Varlamov: Capitals’ game is like any other for me, nothing special
Colorado Avalanche goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov gave his opinion on how the team began the season and insisted the match against his former team the Washington Capitals won’t have a special significance for him.
«I am happy. But there are 79 more games to come. I can’t really say anything about my own performance. I just catch the pucks. Let others say whether I’m good or not. For example, the goalkeeping coach.»
«Why do the Avalanche score so little?»
«I’m surprised myself. In trainings our forwards beat the hell out of me. Who is the most dangerous of them? There are enough guys with a powerful shot, who cause me a lot of trouble.»
«Did you already mark December 17 red in your calendar?»
«No. What should happen then?»
«The Washington Capitals will come to Denver.»
«For me it is a match like any other. Nothing special.
«Where will you take your friends, the two Alexanders – Ovechkin and Semin?»
«Maybe we’ll go to Aspen. I was at that ski resort in August. It’s a great place! We are prohibited from skiing, but we’ll just take a walk, drop by to a restaurant», Varlamov said to Sovetsky sport.
