Branko Radivojevic leaves Spartak Moscow, joins Atlant Mytishchi
KHL club Spartak Moscow have terminated the contract with the Slovak forward Branko Radivojevic by mutual consent, the official site of the Red-and-Whites reported.
After the arrival of another Slovak Marcel Hossa, Spartak had six foreign players in the squad, while the league’s limit allows only five.
«It was one of the most difficult decisions in our career, as Branko has done so much for our club during his three seasons here. However, sometimes professional hockey requires tough decisions. Spartak cannot fulfil some of Radivojevic’s requirements, therefore we have to split.
«We believe this decision will benefit both our club and Branko.
«We thank Branko for the work he has done at Spartak and wish him good luck and success in his further career! Who knows, maybe the ways of Spartak and Branko Radivojevic will cross someday,» the statement of Spartak’s coaching council reads
On the same day it was announced that Radivoevic signed a contract with another KHL club from Moscow Region, Atlant Mytishchi. This was reported by the club’s press service.
