Maxim Sushinsky signs $3m contract with Salavat Yulaev

According to the information that became available to Sports.ru, forward Maxim Sushinsky has signed a contract with the KHL powerhouse Salavat Yulaev Ufa. The player’s salary witll make $3 million.

Sushinsky was expected to sign for Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the middle of August, after several players would be released from the team thus unloading the club’s wage sheet. However, Sushinsky has made a decision not to wait until this moment and to sign the contract with Salavat Yulaev.

Salavat Yulaev head coach Sergey Mikhalyov has confirmed the report, but has denied that the forward will earn three million dollars.

«Sushinsky will join the team at our training camp in Finland which is to begin at the end of this week. We have had a good talk with Maxim and have come an agreement on all working moments. We’d like to believe that Salavat haven’t signed just a name, but a classy player.

«Three million for Sushinsky? It’s lie,» stated the coach according to Sovetsky Sport.
