Jagr’s agent begins talks with NHL clubs
Former Avangard Omsk forward Jaromir Jagr has reportedly expressed his desire to return to the NHL. As the priority option the 39-year-old Czech sees the Detroit Red Wings. According to mlive.com, it is very unlikely that Jagr will remain in the KHL.
Jagr’s agent Petr Svoboda has already contacted the representatives of Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Montreal Canadiens and NY Rangers. Svoboda has also approached the Red Wings general manager Ken Holland, and Jarg himself had a talk with head coach Mike Babcock.
Jagr is said to be favoring Detroit of all the options, beacuse the team has a lot of quality players like Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, and Nicklas Lidstrom.
Meanwhile, in the KHL the only option left for Jagr is Avangard Omsk.
