Bryzgalov’s agent: If the team had an owner, things would be different

Russian goalkeeper Ilya Bryzgalov’s agent Rich Winter explained the reasons, which made the player change Phoenix coyotes for Philadelphia Flyers.

«We never really had a serious discussion about contract numbers because of that. Ilya wants stability for his family, and you can’t have that when you don’t know who your owner is — when you’ve got a captain-less ship. He wasn’t even sure where he’d be playing next year,» Bryzgalov’s agent, Ritch Winter, said according to Fox Sports Arizona.

Winter also reiterated his great respect for Coyotes general manager Don Maloney, coach Dave Tippett, goalie coach Sean Burke and Bryzgalov’s Coyotes teammates. «He got all the support he could have asked for,» he said. «That’s a situation you don’t want to leave. If the building had been full and the team had an owner, things would be different.»
