Dick Advocaat names Russia’s squad for Armenia and Cameroon

Head coach of the Russian national team Dick Advocaat has announced the names of players who will be called up for the Euro 2012 preliminary game against Armenia and the friendly game against Cameroon. The list includes 20 players.

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA), Vyacheslav Malafeev (Zenit).

Defenders: Alexander Anyukov (Zenit), Alexey Berezutsky, Vasily Berezutsky, Sergey Ignashevich (all – CSKA), Yury Zhirkov (Chelsea), Roman Shishkin, Renat Yanbaev (both – Locomotive).

Midfielders: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (Everton, England), Denis Glushakov, Dmitry Torbinsky (both – Lokomotive), Igor Denisov, Konstantin Zyryanov (both – Zenit), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA), Igor Semshov (Dynamo Moscow).

Forwards: Andrey Arshavin (Arsenal), Alexander Kerzhakov (Zenit), Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham), Pavel Pogrebnyak (Stuttgart).

The players of the Russian national team will start training for the games on Monday, May 30, according to official site of the Russian FA.

The match against Armenia will be held on June 4 at St.-Petersburg, while the game against Cameroon is scheduled for June 7 at Salzburg, Austria.
