Christopher Samba: Why do you keep bringing up racism?

Anzhi Makhachkala defender Christopher Samba gave his views on their forthcoming home tie against Dynamo Moscow and the atmosphere at the Makhachkala club’s stadium.

“What do you know about Dynamo?”

“They are a decent side with some big players, like Voronin and Kuranyi, but we’ll try to stop them.”

“Is the issue of racism still discussed within the team?”

“(Annoyed) Oh, get over it! It’s behind us, let’s turn the page over. It’s only the journalists who keep bringing it up, why?”

“Has the Russian league presented you with any positive surprises?”

“I didn’t expect the support that we see in Makhachkala. It reminds me of the English stadiums: the capacity isn’t massive and the stands are close to the pitch. It’s a pleasure to play at these arenas,” the former Blackburn stopper told Sport-Express.
