Valery Karpin: Game against CSKA was our worst performance in five months
Spartak Moscow manager Valery Karpin commented on his side’s 2-1 defeat in the Russian Premier League derby against rivals CSKA Moscow.
«I watched the game about five times. I believe it was our worst game in five months – since our 3-0 defeat in Kazan. I am especially frustrated with our defending: the team must defended even in the other half, but we failed to do that,» Karpin told Sovetsky sport.
«The footballers failed to perform and it’s the managers fault. The coach chose the line-up and he must take the blame. Although I can say that some of the players did better than others. Emenike, for example. He needed support of his team-mates, but didn’t get much,» the Red-Whites boss admitted.
