Luciano Spalletti: We believe in Arshavin

Zenit St. Petersburg manager Luciano Spalleti has come to the defence of the Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin, who has been criticized in the press of being out of shape.

«I think that the situation with Arshavin is a positive one. He looked sharper against Kuban and he will continue to improve. We believe in the player and are counting on him to succeed,» the Italian manager told Sovetsky sport.

The Russia national team captain is on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.
